Complex Systems Institute
The Complex Systems Institute is a multi-disciplinary, University-wide research center located at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The CSI provides a home for researchers who cross disciplinary boundaries in search of holistic answers. The current faculty come from areas as diverse as: Computing, Political Science, Sociology, Business, Biology, Communications, Philosophy, Theatre, Language, and Health and Human Services.

Cyber Defense and Network Assurability Research Center
The Cyber Defense & Network Assurability (CyberDNA) Center at the Collage of Computing and Information Systems of University of University of North Carolina Charlotte has been established to be one of the leading national centers in research and education of network and information security. The CyberDNA Center includes strong and diverse expertise as well as state-of-the-art facilities to address critical network security, assurability and privacy problems of high societal-impact. The CyberDNA offers a unique environment to facilitate joint R&D programs (consortium, seminars and workshops) with the industry, financial institutions, utility service providers and government agencies. The main objective of CyberDNA is to enable assurable and usable security and privacy for smart open society by making cyber defense provable, enforceable, measurable, and automated.

The CCI Center for Education Innovation
The CCI Center for Education Innovation (CEI) is established in the College of Computing and Informatics for the development and coordination of externally funded projects that incorporate strategies and new technologies for innovation in computing and informatics education. This Center builds on and extends the efforts of DITI and STARS, where DITI has a focus on increasing diversity in the students that choose computing as a career path and STARS establishes educational practices and programs that broaden the skills of computing students.

NSF IUCRC Center for Configuration Analytics and Automation (CCAA)
CCAA has been established under the National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry/University Cooperative Research Program (I/UCRC). The center is a multi-university and multi-industry consortium established and led by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in partnership with George Mason University and a broad membership of industry and government organizations. The goal of the Center for Configurations Analytics and Automation (CCAA) is to build the critical mass of inter-disciplinary academic researchers and industry partners for addressing the current and future challenges of configuration analytics and automation to improve service assurability, security and resiliency of enterprise networks, data centers and cloud, software defined network, and cyber-physical systems by applying innovative analytics and automation.
