CCI Class of 2018 Shines at Commencement

CCI’s Class of 2018 was among 4,565 candidates honored as UNC Charlotte conferred degrees in three ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 11-12.

CCI bestowed bachelor’s degrees on more than 235 graduates while almost 170 students received master’s degrees and eight Ph.D. candidates were hooded in a separate ceremony on Thursday.

After commencement, much of the CCI family made its way to the Lucas Room in the Cone Center for a celebration. There, refreshments were enjoyed, pictures were taken and families of graduates mingled with the professors who cared for and challenged their loved ones. There was even a raffle. David Gross (inset), who graduated with a B.A. in Computer Science won an Xbox 1 donated by Microsoft and Alumni Leadership Board member Paul Bates.
