Dr. Liyue Fan is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science in the College of Computing and Informatics. Her research is at the intersection of data privacy, spatio-temporal databases, and machine learning. Dr. Fan holds a PhD in Computer Science from Emory University and a BSc in Mathematics from Zhejiang University. She also spent two years as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Southern California. MIT named her a "Rising Star in EECS" in 2015. Her current research activities are supported by NSF and UNC Charlotte.
